On
20 March the BIB published news of the rising young bluegrass band
Mile Twelve (above) from Boston, Mass., who will be playing at the
3rd Mountain Roots Music Weekend in Cahirsiveen, Co. Kerry, over the May bank holiday weekend. We also gave a preliminary list of the other dates in their three-week tour of Ireland.
Three days later the indispensable
John Nyhan, organiser of the tour, sent us an account of how it came about, together with a promise of full details as soon as possible.

BIB editor's note: IMO, all bluegrass enthusiasts should find Mile Twelve a treat; as a banjo-player, I particularly enjoy the playing of BB Bowness.
