Bluegrass shows begin at the Mercantile Hotel, Dublin

Last Thursday the BIB carried a schedule for the imminent Irish tour by Steve Bonafel & One Iota (USA; above). The first on the list is tomorrow night (Wed. 20 Oct.) at the Mercantile Hotel, Dame St., Dublin 2. Follow Dame Street westward from College Green towards City Hall: the Mercantile is on the left side of the street just before you reach George's St., and opposite the entrance to Crow St.

This is also the first of a series of major bluegrass-related concerts in central Dublin - something that Dublin has needed for a long time. The full list of shows so far arranged can be seen on the BIB for 23 September. Thanks to Nigel Martyn for the series, which certainly deserves the support of bluegrass fans in the Dublin area.
