Old-time in the Barn at Omagh: update
The BIB editor reports:
Fiddlin' Tim Hawkins and I expect to be playing old-time tunes on fiddle and clawhammer banjo this Saturday and Sunday afternoon as part of the open-mic schedule at the Pennsylvania Barn in the Ulster American Folk Park, during the 20th Appalachian & Bluegrass Music Festival, which begins tomorrow (Friday).
Times aren't known at present, but whenever we're on please drop by and listen, and if you feel like dancing... We'll probably play a couple of waltzes, and unless it's raining there should be plenty of space on the barn floor. (See the celebrated painting 'Dancing on the barn floor' by William Sidney Mount, which for copyright reasons is not reproduced here.)
[Update 5 Sept.:] But here we are -

- playing on Saturday, when the open-mic stage was located in the food tent while RTE was using the Barn for recording; more details on that later.
