Cup O' Joe on Bluegrass Today

Congratulations to Cup O' Joe, who are featured on Bluegrass Today with a video of the trio playing 'Handsome Molly'. It can also be seen on their Facebook page and on YouTube; and it's a pleasure to watch and listen to.

The video was shot by John Breese of the British Bluegrass Music Association during the band's tour last week in England, beginning with the Didmarton Bluegrass Festival in Gloucestershire.

The photo above shows Cup O' Joe in Raleigh, NC, at last year's IBMA World of Bluegrass, where they were the first band from outside the USA to perform on the World of Bluegrass Youth Stage. They will be returning to Raleigh for this year's WOB (29 Sept.-3 Oct.).

'Handsome Molly' is 'an old song thought to be of Irish origins', says Bluegrass Today. Yes, of course; if you were in Ireland and wanted a seaport, London would be the first you'd think of.
