Harpers Hollow at Bruff Bluegrass Festival

Harpers Hollow Bluegrass Band: (l-r) Derek Lockhart, Derek Norwood,
William Duddy, Colin Allen

Thanks to Colin Allen of Harpers Hollow Bluegrass Band for more detail, a fine photo (above), and corrections to the BIB post of last Friday about this coming weekend's Bruff Bluegrass Music Festival (3-5 Oct. 2014) in Co. Limerick.

Formed since this year's Omagh Bluegrass Festival just over a month ago, Harpers Hollow Bluegrass Band is a fresh combination of experienced musicians from the Lisburn/ Belfast area: Derek Norwood (guitar, vocals), Derek Lockhart (bass, vocals), William Duddy (mandolin, vocals), and Colin Allen (banjo, vocals). All of them are devoted to the hard-driving traditional bluegrass sound.

Harpers Hollow has already played at the Lisburn Culture Night (19 Sept.), and will be playing at Bruff this weekend. The band appears on the Festival blog as 'Harpers Ferry' - their original name, which they have since changed to avoid confusion with an existing US group.
