Two more hasty notes

Thanks to Sean McManus for a reminder that, following up on the very successful concert night on 16 Jan. (see the BIB here), bluegrass and traditional country music returns to Ashbourne, Co. Meath, on St Patrick's Eve - Sunday 16 March.

The venue is Molly's in Frederick St., and the lineup consists of two-thirds of the January programme: Woodbine from Athy, Co. Kildare, and Della Belle from Dundalk, with P.J. Power as special guest on dobro. More details are on the poster image (click to enlarge).

Seamus also reports that on the night Ashbourne's own Seamus Driver will perform a tribute to Jim Reeves, who died fifty years ago this year.

Thanks yet again to Ray O'Brien who passes on news that Rackhouse Pilfer are launching their second album, of all original songs, this weekend in Sligo with two concerts in the Model Arts Centre this Saturday and Sunday, and will launch it in Whelan's, Dublin, a week today (Friday 21st) and in Monroe's, Galway, the following night, followed by a six-week tour throughout Ireland. Again, more details, including very nice photos and poster images, on Ray's Facebook. The dates will appear on the BIB calendar as soon as possible.
