The Whileaways at Naul, 11 Apr. 2014

Thanks again to Joanne Ryan of the Seamus Ennis Cultural Centre in Naul, Co. Dublin - this time for the news that the Whileaways (Noriana Kennedy, Nicola Joyce, Noelie McDonnell) will be playing there at 8.00 p.m. on Friday 11 April. BIB readers will know Noriana in particular from the neo-old-time group Mad Uncle Harry.

The three members of the Whileaways met on the Galway city folk scene and made their first big impact as a trio at the 2012 Port Fairy Folk Festival in Australia. Their debut album got four stars from the Irish Times reviewer and was 'Album of the Week' on RTE Radio 1.

Friday 11 April is a busy day for them: at lunch they will be playing at the Cúirt International Festival of Literature in Galway. More detail, a performance video, and online booking facilities are on the Centre's website. Tickets are €13. The Whileaways write:
