Petunia & the Vipers in Ireland, 5-9 Mar. 2014 - and later this year

Just received - this news from Loudon Temple of the Brookfield Knights agency in the UK:

Hi, folks - we currently have top Canadian band Petunia & the Vipers on tour and they have been wowing audiences everywhere and playing to big crowds, following their triumphant debut here on the back of Celtic Connections festival last year.

The band will be returning in 2015 but in between times, we are bringing Petunia back with another stunningly talented musician - Nathan Godfrey - with whom he has toured extensively on the US/Canadian circuit for many years in duo format. Of course, fans of the band are well accustomed to seeing Petunia taking the solo spotlight - and always rising to the occasion in spectacular fashion.

Petunia has a solo album coming in May and it is bound to win him a huge amount of fresh media attention (print and radio). We plan the tour to cover the period from 27 November to 14 December and we are sure that all existing fans will want to come out to see the man unplugged and in a rootsier groove, with a playing companion who is a highly accomplished sidekick. Audiences can expect covers of Hank Williams, Lefty Frizzell, Jimmie Rodgers, Riley Puckett, and Jelly Roll Morton as well as a strong collections of originals, including many already known to fans of the band.

It's a 'hot!' show. Please let us know if you would like a slice of the action.

From looking up the band's website, we find that they are about to begin a tour in Ireland, starting tomorrow:

Wed. 5th: The Glens Centre, Manorhamilton, Co. Leitrim, 8.00 p.m.
Thurs. 6th: Regional Cultural Centre, Letterkenny, Co. Donegal, 8.00 p.m.
