Southern Welfare in Kilcolgan, Co. Galway, 11-13 Apr. 2014
More good news from Bluegrass in Ireland - Waterford-based band Southern Welfare will be resident in Kilcolgan, Co. Galway, from Friday 11 to Sunday 13 April for a special bluegrass music weekend. Southern Welfare's Tony Wall (banjo, guitar, vocals) is quoted as saying: 'This is possibly one of the best places to play bluegrass in Ireland, with so many people really interested in the music.'
The BIB strongly suspects that Peter Larkin is behind all this and that Rafterys Rest will be the venue - in any case, good news for bluegrass fans in the West.
