WoodSongs in Dublin to be broadcast in USA, 1 Dec. 2013: update

Thanks to the Prescription Bluegrass Blog for this news: the double concert at the National Convention Centre, Dublin, on 18 July this year (see the BIB for 13 June), presented by the WoodSongs Old-Time Radio Hour, will be broadcast on US television on Sunday 1 December.

On that day, the DISH TV Network will present 'WoodSongs In Ireland: celebration of bluegrass' at 1.30 p.m. (EDT) on Dish Channel 102 as part of BlueHighways TV network programming. The PBB reports:

Bluegrass musicians came from all over the nation to be part of the broadcast, including We Banjo 3, Niall Toner, and more. A programme highlight includes an adorable double-banjo rendition of 'Grandfather's clock' by two 13-year-old kids.

Update 27 Nov.: Thanks to our friend Thierry Schoysman from Belgium (whose band Rawhide made a hit at this year's Omagh festival) for this link to an article on the event and the broadcast, as shown on the KyForward cultural website.
