Full schedule published for Bunratty Banjo Pickers Festival, 27-29 Sept. 2013

Thanks to Brendan Walsh of the Sixmilebridge Folk Club in Co. Clare for this link to a Facebook page showing the complete schedule, hour by hour and venue by venue, for the Bunratty Banjo Pickers Festival which will be held next weekend (Friday 27 to Sunday 29 September).

Bands taking part who will be of special interest to BIB readers include Down the Road (USA), the Banjaxed Bluegrass Band, the BanjaBill All Stars, and the Greasy Coat String Band, to say nothing of the many other acts using the banjo in different genres. (By the way, a nine-minute video demo by the Greasy Coats can now be seen on YouTube.) This can safely be called an action-packed schedule.

Note also the Facebook page for the next Shannonside Winter Music Weekend, to be held in Sixmilebridge and Bunratty in the middle of January 2014, in what has become the traditional opening to the calendar of acoustic musical events.
