Thanks to Ray O'Brien...

... for posting on his 'Bluegrass in Ireland' Facebook page news of a ten-minute video shot by Big John Cline at the 3rd Mohill Bluegrass Festival earlier this month, which can be seen and heard on the Festival's Facebook page. There is good footage - well edited and assembled - of Hard Station, the Down and Out Bluegrass Band, Bee's Knees, the Greasy Coat String Band, and others at the crafts show, the main concert, the gospel show, and other festival venues and events. The video closes with the festival's dedication to the late Vinny Baker.

Thanks to Ray also for good tidings of last weekend's Dunmore East Bluegrass Festival, where (among other things) Ray, standing in for Roy Brennan, played bass with Hard Station. But his best news from Dunmore East is:

Southern Welfare also made a comeback with a late gig on the Sunday evening in the Ocean Hotel with support from Delle Belle. We're looking forward to next year's 20th anniversary festival.

It'll be a treat to have this powerful band back on the festival and gig circuit.
