Thanks to Louis O'Dwyer in Tullamore, Co. Offaly, for the news that a session in memory of Chris Twomey was held at the Brewery Tap on Monday night (3 June).

Roni Stoneman and her husband Tom continue their friendly visit to Ireland with four days in Cork (3-6 June), including a performance at the Midleton Folk Club, McDaid's, Midleton, Co. Cork. The visit takes them through all four historic provinces; they will subsequently be in Mullinahone, Co. Tipperary, and Kilkenny, before heading west to Galway in preparation for Roni's appearance at the 7th Westport Folk and Bluegrass Festival, Westport, Co. Mayo (14-16 June), and rounding off the trip in the north of Ireland, with an appearance at the Titanic Centre in Belfast. Dates will be given on the BIB ASAP. The BIB editor writes:

I have followed this music for over fifty years, and I have never come so close to the heart of it as in the last four days of listening to Roni.
