Woody Pines and Tumbling Bones in Ireland NOW

Thanks to Sharon Loughrin of the Red Room, Cookstown, Co. Tyrone, who sends

... a wee reminder on the BIB that Woody Pines return to the Red Room, Cookstown, this coming Tuesday night (28th). Full details on our Facebook page; I know that we've a lot of people keen to see them following last year's house concert, that in itself is a good sign. All welcome as usual.

Can you also draw attention to the tour dates for the group Tumbling Bones [see video above] from Portland, Maine - they're already listed on the calendar but with the exception, I think, of McCann's Bar in Omagh next Thursday night. They played a great show here on Tuesday night past, we've had really positive feedback from our regulars, and I couldn't stress enough that they're a band not to be missed if you're anyway near a venue they're playing. Fabulous vocal harmonies combined with first-class playing and a great mix of bluegrass/old-time/country and blues.

As well as original material, they covered many favourites from the likes of Hank SnowRalph StanleyBill Monroe, to name a few (with a bit of buckdancing thrown in too!). We'll certainly be hoping for a return visit to the Barn.
