More dates for the calendar

There was a massive turn-out at Chris Twomey's cremation in Cork yesterday. Fergal, the owner of the Corner House, laid on a fine spread for all Chris's friends, and Mick Daly and the boys [of the Lee Valley String Band] provided the music. I met and talked with so many old friends that my throat is a bit ragged (but right?).

... a last-minute reminder about the NTB show at the Riverbank Arts Centre in Newbridge, Co. Kildare, on this coming Saturday night, 1 June. Advance ticket sales have been very good, but we could do with a few more!

This is a warmup gig for us prior to our performances at the Skagen Festival in Denmark and gigs in Belgium.

My band BroadOak Bluegrass Band will be running a mini bluegrass festival on 15-18 August 2013 at the Richmond Inn, Clondra, Co. Longford. We will be running concerts, jam sessions, a barn dance on the Saturday. We played there last year and the landlord asked us to run this festival this year and hopefully continue each year.
