Traffic builds up in Memory Lane

Thanks again to Eamonn Quigley, who forwards this evocative photo from Bill Whelan, doyen of old-time clawhammer banjo in this island. The photo shows Bill during the first lockout of the National College of Art in 1969, holding a Temlett banjo. Bill is quoted as saying that he 'picked up a banjo in 1969 and hasn't put it down since'.
