Watery Hill Boys in Drogheda and Cookstown, 25-6 Jan. 2013

The Watery Hill Boys from Drogheda, Co. Louth, who made a notable impact on the scene here last year at several festivals - not to mention the big La Roche Bluegrass Festival in France - will be presenting their blend of old-time music and early bluegrass later this month on two consecutive nights.

On Friday 25 January they play on their home ground at Carberry's pub (Tí Chairbre) in Drogheda; and on Saturday 26 January at the Red Room in Cookstown, Co. Tyrone, where their show eleven months ago was highly acclaimed (see the BIB of 21 Feb. 2012).

Close to the anniversary of that show, the Red Room will host the Southern Tenant Folk Union (UK) at the mid-point of their forthcoming February tour; see the separate BIB post on this.
