The Red Hat moves to another head

Thanks to Paul McEvoy for the news that the Red Hat Acoustic Music Club, held since late last year in Monasterevin, Co. Kildare, now has a new venue - the Harbour View Hotel in Naas, Co. Kildare, named for the old canal harbour. The Club will continue to meet on the first Friday of every month, starting at 8.30 p.m.; all musicians and listeners are welcome.

The hotel is easily located, especially for anyone who remembers driving through Naas town centre on the way to Newbridge and beyond before the M7 was built. Follow R445 down South Main St. and turn right at the Murtagh's Corner traffic lights on to New Row. This is still on the R445, and the hotel is easily seen about 200 yards down on the right, on the far side of an intersection. There is plenty of parking space. The sign visible as you approach from the town centre says 'Harbour Hotel' (which is also the name on the website); but over the front door the full name 'Harbour View Hotel' appears.
