Aoife O'Donovan, Jeffrey Foucault, Ry Cavanaugh, and Jake Silver at Whelan's, 10 Feb. 2013

Thanks to Paul Lee of Musiclee.ie for new of a Dublin concert a month from now by Aoife O'Donovan. The show takes place on Whelan's Main Stage, Dublin 2, on Sunday 10 February, starting at 8.30 p.m. Tickets are €15 from WAV. Paul's notes on the Musiclee website add:

 For ten years, Aoife fronted the alt-bluegrass/string band Crooked Still. Aoife has performed with the Boston Pops and the Utah Symphony Orchestra. Alison Krauss recorded Aoife’s song 'Lay my burden down', which is included on Alison’s album Paper airplane and can also be heard in the film Get low. Aoife’s crystalline voice has also been heard on 'True blood' (HBO) and 'Private practice' (ABC). She will be joined by bass player Jake Silver, and opening the show will be Jeffrey Foucault and Ry Cavanaugh.

According to her show schedule, Aoife will also make a solo appearance at the Winter Music Festival, Ballincollig, Co. Cork, on Friday 25 January before six shows in Scotland (as part of Celtic Connections 2013) and England.
