Mandolin lessons from John Denby

Good news for anyone learning mandolin in the Dublin area: John Denby, one of the most dynamic mandolinists to have appeared on the scene here in the last few years, is available to give mandolin lessons. John announces:

I'll teach bluegrass, folk, country, rock 'n' roll, bluesy styles, and basic trad around Dublin or at my house in Drumcondra. I could also provide a mandolin for the lessons if the student doesn't have one yet. My number is 085 185 9287 or e-mail.

Since earlier this year John has been a full member of the Down and Out Bluegrass Band; the photo, showing John in full Down and Out uniform, is taken from the band's website. His playing in field jams during the 24th North Wales Bluegrass Festival in July this year earned him a special spot on the main concert stage (see the BIB for 20 July).
