New acoustic music club in Monasterevin

Thanks to Paul 'The Tin Man' McEvoy for the news that a new monthly acoustic music club will open very shortly in Monasterevin, Co. Kildare (easily accessible from the M7 motorway). The Red Hat Acoustic Music Club will meet on the first Friday of every month, beginning on Friday 2 November at 9.00 p.m., in the Hazel Hotel, which is on the R445 at the south end of Monasterevin, between the river bridge and the canal bridge.

The Red Hat will have a regular cadre of singers, including Anna & Orla Greaves, Ray McGee, Mick Dunne, and Paul himself, together with other guests - we understand that prominent bluegrass and old-time performers from the surrounding region can be expected to appear.
