High Plains Tradition - only a few hours away

A reminder that this outstanding five-piece classic bluegrass band from Denver, Colorado, who last toured here in July 2010, will begin a ten-day tour in Ireland on this coming Friday (19 Oct.). The tour begins and ends with two of the mini-festivals that have become a characteristic of the bluegrass scene in Ireland: the Bluegrass Weekend in Kilworth, Co. Cork (19-21 Oct.) and the 4th Balla Bluegrass Festival in Balla, Co. Mayo (26-9 Oct.).

As announced earlier, banjo-player Mark Leslie (centre, in the above photo) is unable to come this time; instead, another distinguished Colorado picker, Ron Lynam (right) of Cowtown (and formerly of Front Range) will be playing banjo with the HPT.
