Random Canyon Growlers in Ireland, Oct.-Nov. 2012

Thanks to C. Paul Lyttle of the Moniaive Bluegrass Festival and the 'Criffel Creek' radio show for forwarding a message from the Owlsworld agency in Britain. Owlsworld, who brought us the splendid Macrae Sisters a few weeks ago, announce that the Random Canyon Growlers (photo above) from the north-western USA will be in these islands later this year and available for dates.

The Growlers, billed as 'hard-driving bluegrass & old-time music boosted by lazer-beam harmonies', can be heard on SoundCloud and seen on YouTube (1; 2). They will be touring in Britain (9-28 Oct.) before coming to Ireland for a week. Dates already confirmed for them are:

Mon. 29 Oct.: The Red Room, Cookstown, Co. Tyrone
Tues. 30 Oct.: The Weigh Inn Bar, Omagh, Co. Tyrone
Wed. 31 Oct.: St John's Theatre, Listowel, Co. Kerry
