Prison Love (and others) at the Jack of Diamonds Festival

Thanks to Mark 'Marko' O'Mahony, who writes:

There is a great lineup of FREE gigs this weekend across Dublin city centre as part of the Jack of Diamonds Rhythm & Roots Festival. You won’t get a better chance this year to enjoy Ireland’s finest practitioners of roots, rockabilly, old-time, Americana, country, and Cajun music.

Prison Love are playing with their closest musical relatives, I Draw Slow, in the Button Factory on Friday 17 Aug. from 7.00 p.m. No cover charge. It’s an early curfew, so the lineup is as follows:

7.00 p.m. Twin Headed Wolf
8.00 p.m. I Draw Slow
9.00 p.m. Prison Love

See the rest of the weekend’s lineup here. Free music will be hosted all weekend in some of Dublin’s best venues: the Button Factory, the Workman’s Club, Grand Social, Sweeney's, the Mercantile, and the Stag’s Head. And if you want to brush up on your own performing skills, there is a host of instrumental, singing, and dancing workshops too, so check out the website for the when-and-wheres.

Everything is free for the weekend, so check the schedule and try to make it along to something. Be good...
