Lands End - bluegrass and beyond...
Thanks to Richie Foley for this information on a band that's making an impact on the circuit here and in Britain after only three months in existence:
Lands End are a diverse group of young musicians who crossed paths at one of the UK's premier bluegrass workshops, Sore Fingers, which is held annually in Oxfordshire. Originally formed for a one-off show, the band, who have been tutored by some of the most prolific names in bluegrass, made such an impact in their first performance they couldn’t possibly stop there! The members hail from Cork, Galway, Dublin, Munich, Liverpool, and Canada and their name, 'Lands End', pays tribute to the fact that each member comes from a different geographical location.

Lands End play a number of gigs in Cork and Waterford this August before performing at Europe's largest free bluegrass festival in Dunmore East, Co. Waterford, Ireland, and Didmarton Bluegrass Festival, UK, in September – a band not to be missed!
