Launch event for love:livemusic today

As announced on the BIB on 24 Feb. 2012, love:live music, Ireland's contribution to the National Music Day movement, will be held on 21 June, with over 200 free musical events at present scheduled in locations throughout the country - an increase of some 25% on 2011. Opera, samba, percussion, and other genres will be featured as well as eighty events presented by Comhaltas Ceoltoirí Eireann.

A launch for the campaign is being held today (16 May) in Moore St., Dublin, with a speech by Jimmy Deenihan TD, minister for Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, and musicians from the Royal Irish Academy of Music. Full details are on love:live music's website and Facebook pages.
