We're glad to get the latest e-newsletter from Michael Miles (USA), one of the most remarkable banjoists now playing and (as the newsletter amply demonstrates), composer, teacher, and much else besides. For those who need convincing: plenty of performance video and audio material is on his website.

Michael made an unavoidably brief visit to Ireland a year ago, playing in the hospitable and appreciative Séamus Ennis Cultural Centre at Naul. We hope a full tour can be arranged in the near future.
