Earl Scruggs: tributes continue

Tributes to the Father of Bluegrass Banjo (who died last week) continue to appear, most notably on Bluegrass Today. Three of the latest items are specially notable.

Here is the news that WSM Radio has put online the audio recording of the funeral service and Celebration of Life, conducted by Eddie Stubbs and held in the Ryman Auditorium on Sunday - just a constant succession of high points.

Bill Evans contributes a moving account of the service, especially the carrying of Earl's coffin through the auditorium.

The latest in Daniel Mullins's 'Album of the Week' series is devoted to the classic Foggy Mountain Banjo album and what it has meant, not just to banjo players. Expect more good things on Bluegrass Today.
