Woody Pines in Ireland, 24-8 Apr. 2012

Thanks to FOAOTMAD for the news that the band Woody Pines, based in Asheville, North Carolina, will be touring in these islands from 12 April to 13 May, and will be playing the following dates in Ireland:

Tues. 24th: The Red Room, Cookstown, Co. Tyrone
Wed. 25th: The Atlantic Bar, Main St., Portrush, Co. Antrim
Thurs. 26th: Raheen House Hotel, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary (Clonmel World Music series)
Fri. 27th: The Glens Centre, Manorhamilton, Co. Leitrim
Sat. 28th: Seamus Ennis Cultural Centre, Naul, Co. Dublin

The UK's Maverick magazine describes the band as performing an 'intoxicating blend of rural and urban stringband, country blues, ragtime, and jug band music'.
