Bluegrass in Ulster in the coming week

Thanks to Dangem Bluegrass for news of bluegrass activities in Ulster. First of all, the monthly Dangem Bluegrass Get-Together; pickers and enthusiasts generally are invited to bring along banjos, guitars, mandolins, fiddles, dobros, and bass, or just come along and enjoy the proceedings on Saturday 31 March 2012 from 9.30-10.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon at the Lagan Valley Island, Island Civic Centre, Lisburn, Co. Antrim BT27 4RL. The schedule will be as usual: 9.30-10.00 warmup; 10.30-11.00 split up for banjo beginners class (taken by Howard Walker for a per person cost of £5.00 for the half-hour); 11.00-12.00, all join in the singalong and jam session.

The monthly Belfast Bluegrass session will be held on Tuesday 3 April from 8.30 p.m., as usual in the Errigle Inn, 312-320 Ormeau Road, Belfast BT7 2GE; tel. 028 9064 1410, e-mail.
