Solid bluegrass and a Bluegrass Circle Jam in Sweeney's, 17 Feb. 2012: correction

Thanks to Hugh Taggart of Dublin bluegrass band Well Enough Alone (shown above), who asks us to make it clear that the show today (Friday 17 Feb.) in Sweeney's Mongrel bar on Dame St., Dublin 2, is not a Well Enough Alone show - those playing in Sweeney's (ground floor, 5.00-7.00 p.m.) will be Hugh himself (second from left), Conor Daly (far right), and a special guest. Hugh has also put this information up on Facebook and in personal contacts; our previous announcement was due to a misunderstanding.

Also concurrently in Sweeney's, but on the first floor, there will be an open Bluegrass Circle Jam from 6.00 to 9.00 p.m. 'Circle' refers to the basic operating procedure - breaks are played in order, going round the circle (in a previously agreed direction) and the choice of song or tune similarly goes round the circle, so that everyone taking part gets the same chances. You can pass up your turn if you wish.
