Southern Welfare - Alive & Kicking

A message from one of the most active bluegrass bands in Ireland:

Southern Welfare will be performing this Sunday coming (30 Oct.) in the Parish Bar, Mary St., Dungarvan, Co. Waterford, as part of the Alive & Kicking Festival which runs in the town from 28 to 30 Oct. with three days of great live music and craic in the bars of the town (trad music may be applicable in some venues). The show starts at 11.00 p.m.

Hope to see some familiar faces, as this is our last bluegrass gig of the year*. For those of you who cannot make it - Happy Christmas and New Year, and we will see you all again in the summer of 2012, with the help of God. This is Southern Welfare signing off...

* The band's session every Wednesday at the Grattan Bar in Waterford is also suspended, but their Tuesday session at Kitty Kiernan's in Barrack St., Waterford, remains on the calendar.
