Brimming with the pure good stuff, the Kennedy, Lewis, Hicks Trio bring old-time dance rhythms, lyrical ballads, and roaring ragtime tunes to engage and wow audiences in Ireland this winter. Aaron Jonah Lewis, with credentials hard to beat, has won awards at the US's most prestigious bluegrass festivals including first prize at the Galax Old Fiddlers Convention 2007. His hauntingly powerful command of the fiddle takes you on a journey to his Virginia roots and the music that moved and continues to move generations. Joining him on vocals for this special tour is Galway-based roots singer Noriana Kennedy (Mad Uncle Harry) who is creating a buzz nationally with her much acclaimed Irish/American folk album Ebb n flow. Completing the trio is banjo/guitar player Sleepy Ed Hicks (UK). Ed has been impressing audiences with his distinct style and 'proves that the banjo is the most versatile instrument in existence'. Drawing deeply from the old-time and bluegrass traditions, their sound together will leave you dancing, hollering, and howling at the moon.
