Chris Thile & Michael Daves in Ireland, 14-15 Sept. 2011

Thanks to our friends at UKBluegrass.com for the news that Chris Thile & Michael Daves will be playing in Ireland in mid September as part of a brief tour in these islands.

Chris Thile (mandolin) is well known here from previous appearances with Nickel Creek and the Punch Brothers, while Michael Daves (guitar) has played at the Johnny Keenan Banjo Festival as a member of Tony Trischka's band. Their shows in Ireland on this trip are:

Wed. 14 Sept. Whelans, Wexford St., Dublin 2
Thurs. 15 Sept. Triskel Arts Centre, Christchurch, Cork city

On the following day Chris Thile will be playing at the Wigmore Hall in London with pianist Brad Mehldau, as part of the Wigmore's jazz series. Thile and Daves will be playing three other dates in England: see UKBluegrass.com.
