Westport Festival 2011: press release

Thanks once again to Uri Kohen of Electric Cave Production for issuing the latest press release on the forthcoming Westport Folk & Bluegrass Festival (24-26 June 2011). This year's festival is the fifth in the series, and the occasion has been appropriately marked by the choice of acts taking part.

A Band Like Alice (GB; left), one of the most solid, powerful, and respected bluegrass bands in these islands, heads the bill. The many other fine acts include the acclaimed Dust Busters old-time string band (USA; below). A list of their other appearances in Ireland will be on the BIB very shortly.


The press release gives full details of all acts taking part, and the times and locations of all sessions and concerts. And there's an appropriate tribute (by an unknown hand) to Uri himself (shown right), without whose vision and drive the event would never have started, let alone got this far.
