Sacred Harp convention in England, 23-4 Apr. 2011
There are plenty of satisfactions to be found in the bluegrass and old-time scene over here. In Britain there are some added bonuses, in what seems like a wealth of Appalachian dance groups, and Sacred Harp singing ensembles with their own national organisation.
Thanks to the UK's old-time association FOAOTMAD for the news that the East Midlands Sacred Harp Convention is being held on 23-24 April 2011 at the Village Hall, Kegworth, in Leicestershire. More details are here. The weekly FOATMAD mailout adds:
