Wookalily launch 'Black magic doll' with tour

As mentioned on the BIB two weeks ago, Wookalily (left), the all-woman Americana/ bluegrass/ roots band from the North, are preparing to release an EP. Thanks to Adele Ingram-Magee for the latest news on the EP: recorded at the In the Shade Studios, it is due for release on 14 April. The title is 'Black magic doll', and here's the 'Bogs to bayous bio' that forms part of the press release:

Wookalily turf out timeless songs from the bogs of Northern Ireland to the bayous of Louisiana. Having been swamped in both musical traditions they’ve managed to create a transatlantic sound that is authentic yet quirky. This EP is a testament to that with one of the tracks, entitled ‘Memories of New Orleans’, already making ‘non-disastrous’ waves in N’awlins. Negotiations are under way for a US tour late 2011/early 2012.

Meanwhile, Wookalily are currently scheduled to play the following series of shows in connection with the release.
