Foghorn Trio in photos - and here in May

The latest Laurie Lewis e-newsletter is topped by a splendid photo by Mike Melnyk, showing Laurie and Tom Rozum playing on stage with the Foghorn Trio (USA), who will be on the Saturday evening concert at the Baltimore Fiddle Fair in Co. Cork (5-8 May 2011).

[Update 30 Mar.:Thanks to Nadine Landry for the latest news of the Trio's tour schedule after Baltimore, which will see them playing every night for the next seven nights in Munster, Connacht, and Leinster; full details are on the BIB calendar.]

Nearly 200 more photos by Mike Melnyk are on an internet album dedicated to the celebration of the 50th anniversary of Arhoolie Records back in early February 2011. They show artists from several genres of music who have recorded for, or are otherwise associated with, Arhoolie, and of course many also show the label's founder Chris Strachwitz, born in 1931 as a German aristocrat.

Laurie Lewis's many fans and friends here will also be glad to know that her website has had a complete makeover, and is fully operational and looking better than ever.
