Bluegrass for St Patrick's day
With St Patrick's day coming up next week, it's fitting to mention a release on that very day by an A-list US band: Russell Moore & IIIrd Tyme Out. The recording is the single 'If your heart should ever roll this way again', which the Rural Rhythm label will make available to radio stations on 17 March via Airplay Direct.
Among their numerous awards and nominations, IIIrd Tyme Out have won the IBMA Vocal Group of the Year award in seven consecutive years, and Russell Moore (on right in photo below) has won Male Vocalist three times, most recently in 2010.
Update 10 Mar.: You can hear a sample of the new single on the original Bluegrass Blog.
(And if you want to hear live bluegrass in Ireland on St Patrick's day, Woodbine are scheduled to play in Bob's Bar, Durrow, Co. Laois, at 5.30 p.m.)
Labels: Awards, International organisations, Media, Record companies
