NTB at Athy Arts Centre, 12 Feb.

Thanks to Niall Toner, who reports:

Last Saturday night, the NTB played the Athy Arts Centre to a very appreciative audience. The house was about two thirds full, and when you consider that many of the local bluegrass die-hards were out of town, this was a fairly respectable turnout. It was also very interesting to be performing to a new audience, and I think I only recognised about four of the faces there. We also took the opportunity to perform some of the new NTB songs, including 'William Smith Monroe', 'Tomorrow', and 'Too many guitars', all of which were well received, and all of which will be on the next NTB CD.

The Athy Arts Centre is a superb venue in an old cut-stone presbyterian church, and is a welcome addition to the list of fine music venues around Ireland. Brid and her team of dedicated volunteers do a fine job, and we look forward to returning sometime soon.
