Lineup for Athy 2011 - and a new look for the website

Thanks to Tony O'Brien for the news that the Athy Bluegrass Music Association website has been updated and now includes the programme for this year's Festival (7-10 July 2011). The ABMA announces:

This year's festival is dedicated to Bill Monroe, the founder and father of bluegrass music. This year is the centenary of Bill's birth. Come join us in the celebrations.

The schedule is as follows; all events shown will be in the Carlton Abbey Hotel, Athy, Co. Kildare, which is sponsoring the Festival.

Thurs. 7th: 9.00 p.m. Woodbine, Acoustic Grass, plus guests. No CC

Fri. 8th: 9.00 p.m. Southern Welfare, Well Enough Alone, Southern Bluegrass Union, Acoustic Grass. €15

Sat. 9th: 9.00 p.m. Niall Toner Band, Bending the Strings, Woodbine. €15

Sun. 10th: 12.00 noon Bluegrass gospel concert. No CC
Sun. 10th: 2.00 p.m. Carmel Sheerin & the Ravens, the Bluestack Mountain Boys, Clem O'Brien. €15
Sun. 10th 8.00 p.m. Finale hosted by Woodbine. No CC
