Green and blue grasses

Thanks to the Violin Shop in Nashville, TN, for news of a new CD seeking to combine bluegrass and Irish traditional music, which is scheduled for release in the USA next week (in good time for St Patrick's day).

The Brock McGuire Band consists of Paul Brock (melodeon) and Manus McGuire (fiddle) from Co. Clare, Denis Carey (piano) from Co. Tipperary, and Enda Scahill (tenor banjo) from Co. Galway. The new CD, Green grass blue grass: roots music from Ireland & America, includes special guests Ricky Skaggs, Aubrey Haynie, Bryan Sutton, and other US musicians, and has already received critical welcome.
