Our Christmas solution: come to the Dublin Bluegrass Christmas Party, 28 Dec. 2010

The other-worldly picture (above) which we displayed yesterday is of course of the many-dimensioned Bluestack Mountain Boys, who are among the featured acts at the free Bluegrass Christmas party on 28 December in Sweeney's Mongrel (formerly Le Cirk) at 32 Dame Street, Dublin 2. Bluestack mandolinist Aran Sheehan explained on 5 December:

Well Enough Alone, Jacques Titley, the Bluestacks, and some very special surprise guests will be playing an extravaganza of bluegrass music from 9.00 p.m. till close in a cosy and extremely friendly environment right in the centre of Dublin. Format for the night is that we will showcase a set from each of the three billed bluegrassers, then have a collective jam around the table with omni-directional mics piped throughout the bar for that authentic homely intimate feeling. We would like to invite all our friends and fellow bluegrass enthusiasts to join us for some fun, frolics and G runs...
