Johnny Keenan Banjo Festival 2010: latest news

Thanks to Chris Keenan and Kathy Casey of the 9th Johnny Keenan Banjo Festival (to be held in Longford town in just over two weeks) for their e-newsletter giving the latest news on the Festival programme and lineup.

Chris and Kathy announce two new additions to the Friday evening concert schedule: singer Juliet Turner will join Brian Kennedy in concert. And from the Czech Republic, making their Longford debut - Jiri Kralik & the Rowdy Rascals (Jiri (George) Kralik, fiddle, vocals; Jiri Bok, guitar, banjo, vocals; and Milos Klapste, double bass, vocals). Their appearance at a recent Omagh festival showed conclusively that they rank among the cream of Czech pickers, with a jaw-dropping mastery of bluegrass, old-time, swing and western swing - Kralik in particular being an outstanding fiddler.
