News from the Carter Brothers

Thanks to Tim Carter of the Carter Brothers (USA), longtime Longford festival favourites, who sends word to the band's many friends in Ireland:

... we will not be attending the Johnny Keenan Festival this year, but will be there next year for the 10-year anniversary. We hope to get to Ireland in the spring/summer of 2011.

Also, we have started to work on our next Carter Brothers CD, co-writing most of the tunes; we just recorded a tune we wrote, called 'Road To Roosky', one of our favorite places just outside Longford.

Joining us on the tune is the great Sam Bush playing slide resonator mandolin. It's a good blues rocker, with banjo on it of course. Sam has joined us on four tunes so far; stay tuned for some other guest artists...
