Bending the Strings at Nutfest 2010, 21 Aug.

Above: Bending the Strings at Warrenpoint recently, with Hugo Duncan as MC. Thanks to Vinny Baker for the photo and for this news:

Bending the Strings play the Nutgrove Shopping Centre between Dundrum and Rathfarnham in south Dublin this coming Saturday (21 August) at 6.00 p.m., as part of Nutfest 2010.

The band are playing the gig as part of an ongoing promotion of their new album All keyed up, which is getting tremendous radio attention from our national station RTE Radio 1 as well as all the local stations. The album is getting steady plays from Ronan Collins and John Creedon and the Mooney Show.

The track getting a lot of media attention is the band's bluegrass version of the U2 classic 'Still haven't found what I'm lookin' for', which features the voice of Moyra Fraser and great soloing from Moyra, Martin, and Vinny. The national radio DJs seem to really like the track and the album in general, so things are really looking up for the three-piece Honky Tonk Bluegrass trio.

The Nutgrove Shopping Centre gig promises to be a great event, so make sure to catch Bending the Strings at the Nutfest, Nutgrove Shopping Centre this coming Saturday 21 August.
