Athy festival news

The Athy Bluegrass Music Association announces on its updated website:

The 20th Athy Bluegrass Music Festival was again a fantastic success, with great performances from headline band High Plains Tradition [above], and all the supporting Irish bands more than holding their own.

The Carlton Abbey Hotel has become a great home for the festival and lends itself to the pickin' sessions during the day and well into the night/morning after the concerts.

It is with renewed confidence we look forward to 2011 and hope to see all our old friends back, plus many more. Thanks for your continued support.

Next year's Athy Bluegrass Festival is scheduled for 7-10 July 2011. The full lineup will be announced in January.
