David Holt & the Lightning Bolts for Omagh festival

The events of last weekend's very successful Athy festival are all rather a happy blur to your editor, but he particularly thanks the friend who gave him a copy of the flyer for this year's Omagh festival, which is now only seven weeks away.

From the flyer, it appears that we can look forward to seeing and hearing David Holt & the Lightning Bolts at Omagh. Holt may be the most influential performer bringing Appalachian music to a wider audience since the Seegers, and in the Lightning Bolts he has formed a distinguished old-time band for the 21st century. Ulster audiences will already be familiar with Josh Goforth from several appearances in 'Bluegrass on the Walls' at Derry.
