House concerts

At the time when the European House Concert network was mentioned in the BIB just over a year ago, the concept of house concerts was still new here, but they're now a growing part of the scene - particularly in the North. Arnie and Sharon Loughrin have been pioneers in this field.

Adele Ingram-Magee (left) of One-A-Chord Music Promotions in Killyleagh, Co. Down, is now a member of the Euro House Concert & Acoustic Music Club Hub. Adele - who is also a member of Wookalily - is presenting a series of One-A-Chord house concerts at Killyleagh: this coming Friday there's a Rodney Cordner CD launch, followed by three further shows before the end of July.

The 26 July concert in the series combines Ferguson, Holmes, & Henry (USA/NI) with the Tennessee Hennessees in full five-piece configuration. Admission is by invitation only. For details of this and other One-A-Chord house concerts, contact Adele by e-mail.
