Welcome news from Enda Donnelly, whose Fair City Grass is Dublin's senior bluegrass band, with probably the longest record for weekly public performances:
Fair City Grass opened the 'Summer Music Fest' on the bandstand in St Stephen's Green on Wed. 16 June at lunchtime (1.00-2.00 p.m.).
It was one of the most beautiful warm sunny days we ever played there, so we had a large gathering of enthusiastic people calling for more at the end of the hour of classic bluegrass covers of Bill Monroe etc. Being Bloomsday, it also helped to bring the crowd out & about; thus we met a lot of visitors from USA, UK, and elsewhere.
Our good friend & bandmate Dave Howard did a great job on PA for us. We are looking forward to the next one in the weeks ahead.
Tony, Enda, and Dave
PS: We have not gone away, U know :-)
